Sharrow Bay Awarded 'Lake District Hotel of the Year' Posted on 07/12/2007
Sharrow Bay, part of the von Essen private collection of country house hotels has just scooped another award. The stunning country house hotel located on the banks of Lake Ullswater was voted Lake District Hotel of the Year at Archant Life's Food and Wine Awards 2006/2007.
The prestigious accolade was awarded to the hotel in a glittering awards ceremony held at Manchester's Whitworth Hall earlier this week. The award was given by a collection of the North West's largest county magazines - Lake District Life, Lancashire Life and Cheshire Life, all part of the Archant Life group. The event also raised more than £3,000 for charitable causes.
